The British National Party - a warning

Unlock Democracy exists to promote and advance democracy, rights, and freedoms. We believe in a society where people are not discriminated against, including on the grounds of their race, religion or sexuality.

The British National Party, in contrast, believes in a society where people are actively discriminated against on these bases. While we defend the right of parties such as the BNP to exist, as an organisation we fundamentally reject their racist policies and believe that, were they to prosper, democracy and human rights would be threatened.

This means that when we score their policies, we bear in mind at all times that their fundamental message is racist, and that they are at odds in every way with the universal human rights that we believe in.
